Stitch!

Who doesn't love coloring?  Am I right?  I decided to do some rendering just for the fun of it.  Once I start, I really get into it.  Now I want to do more of it!

Blast from the past...

I promise to get to posting newer art, but for now I wanted to take a look at some old paintings of mine. When you look at older things you've done- if you've learned anything from your experiences, there are going to be things you'd change.  There are absolutely things I'd do differently with these paintings... but I do like the playful/retro feel of them. Knowing what I'd do differently- I have considered doing paintings like this again on the side.

Tinker Bell

"Tinker Bell" - Chalk Pastel on Paper

It's nice to do stuff just for the experience/fun of doing it.  I work both traditionally and digitally- but everything starts with a sketch on paper.  I like to constantly experiment with new materials and techniques.  I enjoy painting, but it can be such a huge investment of time- especially since I tend to work on a larger scale.  When I have a little time but want to do something colorful and experiment- I break out the chalk pastels, crayons,  whatever is nearby! These pieces usually either end up on my own walls or in a large portfolio case in my home office- but they're fun to do.  Working with chalk pastels is different from any other medium I work with.  I'm not trying to make things look too real or painterly.  I just go with it and see what happens.

The Voodoo Lounge

Welcome to the Voodoo Lounge!  I've been going through a lot of older art lately.  These are from a personal project I did awhile back. (All rights reserved)  The more experience I get, the more I learn- so it's nice to look back on the past and sometimes I find myself updating old art with new techniques I've learned.  I think this art will always have a special meaning to me.

Welcome Foolish Mortals...

As a freelance artist, I have the opportunity to work on a lot of interesting projects.  Of all the pins I've done, these are some of my favorites. I got the idea while I was out and around at the parks. I was in the stretching room of the Haunted Mansion and "BING!"- idea!!  That night, I immediately began sketching these out.  I enjoy anything that gives me the opportunity to stretch my legs and I love drawing the Disney characters. I also believe in looking at life with a sense of humor- so if I can combine those things- it's a win!

Vinylmation

I've already posted my one of a kind Vinylmation figures, but here are some of the ones I've done for general releases as a freelancer.  This hobby is a lot of fun.  It's challenging but exciting to see how the art translates on the form.

Happy Birthday, Batman!

It's a little belated, but what kind of geek would I be if I didn't celebrate Batman's birthday? Sometimes it's really nice to do a quick sketch just for fun- and I do have a special love for Harley Quinn. :)  Happy Birthday, Bat-brain!

Logo work

Anyone who knows me knows how much I adore retro artwork.  This is a logo I did awhile back.  It's a lot of fun to get to work on things like this from time to time.

Vinylmation One-of-A-Kinds

I love doing freelance work for Disney Design Group.  I do a lot of pins but I've also had the opportunity to do artwork for Vinylmation figures.  Many are mass produced but I've also been able to do one of a kind figures as pictured here.  The Tiki and Scarecrow designs are my favorites, but each one has been a lot of fun to do and I hope to do many more. New blog

Hi, everyone!  So many of my friends have portfolio blogs and I decided to give it a shot.  If anything, it'll inspire me to do even more drawing, painting, designing- and that's a good thing! The blog is under construction so please bear with me while I get it up and running.

A little information about me... I'm a freelance graphic artist/illustrator in Orlando.  I do a lot of freelance work for Disney Theme Park Merchandise- and I love it!  I draw, I paint, I do a lot of design work on the ol' Mac... and I'm always looking to learn something new and keep growing. Thanks for looking and stay tuned for new additions!
